Gammapedia:Deletion policy

From Gammapedia
Jump to navigationJump to search
The article Deletion policy is not considered part of Gammasphere canon.

On Gammapedia, the power to delete pages is vested in curators. Deletion refers to the elimination of a page from the website. When a page is "deleted" off Gammapedia, it "does not exist" in the Gammasphere any longer (that is to say, in the fictional universe it never existed at all, this serves as a sort of retcon). Thus, deletion should be reserved for pages that do not fit in the fictional universe, or have not yet been integrated tightly within the Gammasphere canon. However, this does not give curators carte blanche to delete any new page.

What is eligible for deletion

  1. Pages decided by consensus at Gammapedia:Articles for obliteration
  2. Pages deemed unworthy of being in the canon by a curator (however, other curators can overturn this decision)
  3. Pages that do not attempt to describe entities of the Gammasphere
  4. Pages that contain or encourage any of the following: vandalism, harassment, copyright infringement, pornography.

Contesting deletion

Do not recreate pages that have been deleted. To contest a deletion, you may open a thread at the Gammapedia board or contact the deleting curator.

Text of deleted pages, provided they do not meet the fourth deletion criterion, may be provided by a curator at his or her discretion.
