The Carp Ray is Carp Man's most powerful attack. One blast of it can turn most non-super victims into fish sticks. And not particularly tasty fish sticks, either. Against more powerful foes, it has the effect of a powerful laser, only it's much more uber.
When Carp Man is exposed to a source of radiation like Gamma Rays or nukes and becomes Radioactive Carp Man, his powers change accordingly, and the Carp Ray is replaced with the more powerful Radioactive Carp Ray, better known as Steve.
